Helping Our Children Grow from Tragedy

Bad things happen. And when they do, parents need to decide – do I tell my kids? And WHAT should I say?  In this workshop, Doctor G gives developmental guidance to help decide whether to share or shield a child from a scary or sad event. Then participants will learn how to use these difficult experiences to make children more resilient and respectful. Doctor G problem solves with parents so that they will feel confident knowing when and how to share these important moments of grief with children. This discussion empowers parents to impart their values in the face of tragedy, and raise children who can handle tough situations in life.
