Trust comes from respect. The fastest way to make someone feel disrespected, and to undermine their trust, is to lie. And yet, all kids lie. They try it out when they are small and some kids quickly pick up on the advantages, becoming people we can't admire much, since we can't believe what they say. Doctor G has some ways we can approach this at each child's developmental level and help the see the reasons to tell us the truth.
