Teach Kids to Care for Pets

Do you have kids and pets?

A lot of people feel like having kids AND pets is too big a challenge. "I already have enough to take care of" I hear often from parents who field constant requests from their kids for an animal. I completely understand this point of view. But here's some encouragement:

Kids don't just like pets, they learn from them also!

So many of the character traits that we want our kids to have, like:

• Responsibility

• Empathy

• Persistence

• Resilience

grow when children and teens learn to care for a dependent being. So watch the video for age-based jobs your kids can do with your animals (or animals your neighbors or family have) in order to learn these great skills.
