Technology and Kids: Who’s in Charge?

The holidays are winding to a close and winter break has just started. If your kids received a tablet or phone for the holidays, now is the time to set some expectations on the use of their devices. The kids are excited, but as parents, you may be nervous giving your kids this freedom.

You may worry about what they may look up on the internet or who they may be connecting with. So, how can you keep your kids safe?

On Christmas Day, I weighed in over at Pittsburgh Today Live about kids and technology and finding the balance of letting your kids explore while giving them boundaries.

Don’t forget kids are digital natives and we, as parents, are digital immigrants. Kids know about social media, so ask questions and learn from them so that you can keep safe and watch the video for my tips. Let them be your teacher.
