Are the terrible two's a reality?

For many families they are! For some it happens a little later, especially with first kids. Some families escape this entirely - but that is rare. What is "this?" The sudden change in a child's behavior leading to tantrums, and other unhappiness (for the parents and the kiddo!).

Why is my child having a tantrum?

Suddenly a child realizes that what he wants and what he can accomplish are not in sync! She sees an older sibling talking and moving and reaching and doing, and is frustrated that her skills aren't there yet. He has lots to say to you but you can't understand him!
