Ceremonies and parties that mark the completion of school can also leave students feeling conflicted about moving on to whatever comes next. All of the excitement and fear drive some to make decisions they later regret.

Conversations with Adults

It's important to talk with teens about the decisions ahead of them with honesty and openness. From sex and drinking to curfews and risk-taking, teens need to be able to express their views and also need to hear that this big event doesn't change our expectations of them as people.
