The tipping point between resentment and resilience

If I’m being honest with myself, there are a lot of opportunities for resentment in a day. Like when
Someone asks for a favor
I think something is finished and I’m asked for one more change
A last minute thing comes up
Teams messages are going crazy
I get a call from home during work – or a call about work while I’m on “my own time”
And those are just work examples!
Any of those moments can leave me feeling drained, frustrated, even oppressed. Have you noticed the same?
I’m deeply curious about the strategies that are successful in heading off that resentment. How do you turn that sinking feeling in your stomach, burning in your chest or brewing headache into a clean breath, a positive attitude or just a clear plan?
The research is lagging on this topic – how can we shift our response to one of practicality or positivity? Would you tell me what you’ve tried and what’s worked for you?
All my best,
Dr. G
